TV-Desi is the premier online South Asian TV network, streaming a great selection of popular live South Asian TV channels, including news, entertainment, and music channels; and a wide variety of popular on-demand South Asian TV content, including well known entertainment programs, top Ramadan shows and series, movies, music-clips and more. You can enjoy this great content on your PC through www.TV-Desi.com or straight to your TV with the TV-Desi TV Box.

3. What South Asian TV channels can I enjoy with TV-Desi?

Visit the Pricing page for a full list of all available Live TV channels available on TV-Desi service in your region. You can have access to them by subscribing to any of our packages. 

 

4. What South Asian TV On-Demand videos can I enjoy with TV-Desi?

Visit the TV Shows section under the Watch Now page, with a full list of all available On-Demand TV programs and movies.

 

5. Why are some programs not available or don't match the live broadcast of satellite?

Some rights are not available for streaming through the internet or via satellite. Due to this, there may be a slight difference in signals.

 

6. Why are certain popular channels or shows not offered?

We are constantly striving to add new, better and more channels, both in terms of live and on-demand content. We will continue to work to launch the best channels available, so, please stay tuned.

 

 7. What are the packages and prices available on TV-Desi?

8. How do I subscribe? 

-  Go to the Pricing page and select the product you want and click on “Order Now”

- Select the options for the package you have selected

- Enter a promo code if you have any available

- Fill the needed information in the Shipping and Payment page. Make sure your billing address is associated with the credit card you use.

- Review your order and total before you submit the order.

PC Questions

 

 1. How to preview any live channel? 

Go to Watch Now. Once you find the content that you would like to watch, click on the item and it will load a preview within the video player. 

 

2. Can I test video stream access before I purchase a package?

Yes, go to Watch Now Page and click on any show or channel, and you will be able to watch a promotional video of the show.

 

3. How do I Login?

Click on "Login" on upper right corner of any TV-Desi  page. Enter your username and password in the appropriate fields, and then click on the login button.

 

4. I forgot my password, what do I do?

Click on "Login" on upper right corner of any TV-Desi page, then click on "Forgot your password?" and enter the email address you used to register. We will send you a temporary password shortly.

 

5.  How do I Watch Live TV?

You must be signed in to watch video on the site. Once you sign-in, you'll need to access the Live TV section by following the below steps:

Go to Watch Now page and select the Live Channels tab.

Once you find the content that you would like to watch, click on it and it will load within the video player

 

6. How do I watch On-Demand content?

 You must be logged in to watch video on the site. Once you sign-in, you'll need to access the On-Demand section by following the below steps:

Go to Watch Now page and select the TV Shows tab.

Select the Program you want and click Watch Now

Once you find the content that you would like to watch, click on it and it will load within the video player


7. How do I watch Full Screen? 

Click on the Full Screen icon in the lower right side of the player. Press ESC when you decide to exit Full Screen Mode.

To Exit Full Screen, hit the ESC key. 

 

8.     How can I enjoy high quality On-Demand videos if I have a low bandwidth Internet connection?

 You can click the pause button of the player and then wait until the video downloads completely. Then you will be able to watch it without experiencing buffering.

 

 9.  How do I change the Time Zone the TV Guide displays?

 You can change the Timezone under "My Account" page when you are logged in.

 

11. I'm receiving poor quality video or audio stream on a channel or program.

First, try to adjust your Preferred Video Quality on the Media Player according to your Internet connection speed (bandwidth).

 To test your bandwidth, go to http://speed.neulion.com/neulion_tools.html and run a speed test to the server closest to you. If the problem still persists, please let us know as soon as this happens via our TV-Desi Customer Support section or sending us an email at support@TV-Desi.com.

 

Set Top Box Questions

 1. What is needed to be able to watch TV-Desi on my TV?

 TV-Desi TV offers you the best Channel lineup for less than half the cost of satellite or cable. Best of all there is no messy installation, no expensive packages, and no expensive hardware.

You can enjoy our great content directly on your TV by subscribing to either our Monthly or Yearly Package and add TV-Desi TV box at checkout. And we will send you the TV-Desi TV Box which connects directly to you TV.

 You need to have a high speed internet connection of at minimum 1.5Mbps to be able to watch TV-Desi TV.

 2. My TV-Desi  Box (Set-Top-Box) isn't working, why?

 Please ensure that your box is plugged in and powered on. When powered on you  should see the Green power light on the front.

Make sure your internet cable is currently plugged in.

Test the internet connection on a laptop or computer first.

If the blue light starts blinking on the box when you turn it on, it means your box is connected to the internet.

If you see the TV-Desi TV Main page, this means you are connected to the internet.

 

3. Why do I get constant buffering (retrieving)? 

If buffering is persistent on all channels, your internet speed may not be sufficient or you may have problems with your router.

If you are connecting through an internet service provider with a capped bandwidth package, please be aware that the set-top box uses about 1GB every three hours of usage.

Your available internet bandwidth should be at least 1.5 Mbps Download Speed.

 To test your bandwidth, go to http://speed.neulion.com/neulion_tools.html and run a speed test to the server closest to you. If the problem still persists, please let us know as soon as this happens via our TV-Desi Customer Support section or sending us an email at support@TV-Desi.com.

4. My box cannot connect to the internet 

If you are having issues getting the set-top box to connect to the internet, please reset the STB and your internet connection. To reset the STB, unplug the power cord and ethernet cable (if using wired connection) and plug it back in after few minutes.

5. Can I connect using my wireless access point (wireless)?

Yes. You can connect the TV-Desi STB wirelessly using the wireless adapter provided by TV Desi. You can purchase TV Desi wireless adapter on our website or call us at 1-888-988-3374.  

6. Billing Questions

Billing occurs on a monthly basis. Every month you will be charged based on your current subscription

The initial charge consists of a $50 CAD deposit for the Set Top Box and $3 Set Top Box rental fee. The rental fee will be charged every month.

If you had the box delivered, the charge of $19.99 covers the shipping and handling

7. How can I tell if I have sufficient internet connection to watch TV-Desi?

Please visit http://speed.neulion.com/neulion_tools.html and click on "Neulion Speed Test". If the download speed shows more than 1,500 Kbps, you have sufficient internet to watch TV-Desi.
